The Pachira Aquatica occurs naturally. in Mexico, Peru and Brazil. Here the plant grows mainly in flooded areas. The seeds float and germinate as soon as they wash ashore. In Asia, the plant is seen as attracting luck and money. Hence the nickname money tree. The best location for the Pachira is a bright spot. Avoid a spot that receives a lot of direct sunlight, the Pachira does not tolerate this well. Give the Pachira Aquatica a large splash of water once every three weeks. If the potting soil still feels moist, wait a few days before watering. The Pachira is used to high humidity. Therefore, spray the plant once a week with the plant sprayer.
