The Alocasia Cucullata is a beautiful, green houseplant. This plant is originally from Asia, where it still grows wild. The Alocasia is best placed in a bright spot, but not in direct sunlight. The leaves of the Alocasia grow toward the sunlight. To prevent the plant from growing crooked you can rotate it a quarter turn once a week. This plant is very sensitive to too much water. In the summer, give the Alocasia some water once a week. In winter, a little more time between waterings is allowed. You can also give the plant smaller amounts of water more often. Sometimes water drips from the tips of the leaves. The water that the plants absorb through the roots they evaporate again through the leaves. This process takes place during the day and at night the Alocasia drips the excess water away through the leaves.
