Using the WaterWick water wick
Step 1: Fill the water reservoir with water. Make sure the water does not get too high and does not touch the roots of the orchid.
Step 2: Push the watering wick(s) into the bottom of the orchid's plastic growing pot until the wick has disappeared completely.
Step 3: Place the wicks securely in the water reservoir. This enables the orchid to absorb water itself when it is thirsty and dry.
Step 4: Check every week whether there is still enough water in the water reservoir.
Step 5: Top up the bowl or pot with water about once every fortnight.
Tip:
When watering, check whether the orchid needs water. Is this the case? Then the orchid is dry and needs water. If the roots are green you can wait a little longer before watering.
