Application:

Remove any weeds present. Level the soil where the bark will be spread. Apply in a layer of 5 centimetres. A thicker layer has a beneficial effect on weed suppression. In appropriate cases (e.g. intensive treading), it is recommended to apply ground cloth first.

Used as ground cover, it reduces the likelihood of weed growth. The soil dries out less quickly. In winter, it protects existing perennials from frost. Tree bark has a positive effect on soil life.
